 The
SAFE SWIVEL LIGHT POLE™
SLP Safety Lighting Products Ltd. manufactures
the Safe Swivel Light Pole™. The pole is designed
for safe and reliable maintenance.
The product features are:
- Class 1, Division 2, Zone 2 certification
- Structurally certified to handle winds of 180 km/hour
and ice loads of up to 22 kgs
- Maximum 10 foot overall length aids uniform lighting
(custom lengths available)
The Safe Swivel Light Pole™ is a unique, patented
design that can help save money on INSTALLATION. The pole
can be pre-fabricated to a point to dramatically reduce
expensive, on-site installation time. SLP Safety Lighting
Products Ltd. can pre-wire the pole with termination points
at the top and the bottom of the pole. Our welding-free
bracket design eliminates the need for any costly welding
procedures.
Since the pole is built in two halves, mod yard work is
extremely easy. Just the lower half of the pole can be installed
at the mod yard, eliminating the possibility of breakage
during long-distance transportation. Once on-site, the upper
half of the pole can be easily installed. Another way of
shipping which eliminates breakage is to ship the pole intact,
but in its “down position”. Since the pole swivels
at its mid-point, designers can extend the actual fixture-mounting
height to 10 feet. This creates the possibility of using
higher wattages; therefore less fixtures. This will also
create a more uniform lighting design with fewer dark spots.
The Safe Swivel Light Pole™ is the only certified
product for use in stanchion-mounted light fixtures. Some
products in current use are conduits that have been adapted
for this application and are not structurally certified
for this application.
Unique custom designs allow for user specifications on
mounting heights and on mounting brackets – made to
fit any handrails – and any electrical installation
methods. SLP (Safety Lighting Products Ltd.) has already
provided new junction box installations and soft wire connections
to speed and improve these applications.
